The aircraft market is expected to grow. Air traffic is recovering after the nefarious years caused by Covid-related restrictions. According to the Boeing report, the expansion of the market in the coming years will be impressive, with a fleet that will grow to 48,500 aircraft – these are new planes designed for both passengers and cargo. In total, the American company expects to require more than 40,000 new aircraft over the next 20 years.
Most recently, Boeing’s biggest competitor, European Airbus, closed a maxi-order of 500 A320s for a private company Indigo, which became the largest purchase ever made in the commercial aviation sector. Indigo is a privately owned Indian company that competes with former national carrier Air India acquired last year by Tata.
Already a leader on domestic routes, with new Airbuses arriving between 2030 and 2035, Indigo will expand its routes to Arab, African, and European countries.
