Israeli Army: “We Killed Nasrallah”

According to the IDF, other Hezbollah leaders were killed along with him in the Beirut blast

Hassan Nasrallah, the 64-year-old Hezbollah leader, was reportedly killed on September 27 during a raid on Beirut. This was staed by Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

“Following accurate information from the IDF and Israeli security forces, IAF fighter jets carried out a targeted strike on the central headquarters of the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which was located underground in an apartment building in the Dahieh neighborhood of Beirut,” Ynet reported, citing the Israeli military. Ali Karki, believed to be Hezbollah’s third leader, and other senior officers of the group were killed in the raid.

Hezbollah has not confirmed the death of its leader, Agence France-Presse reported, citing sources close to the group, which, however, explained that contact with the leader has been lost since Friday evening. Another source quoted by Le Figaro, close to the Lebanese movement, said its leader was “fine.” At any rate, in the area of what is Hezbollah’s headquarters, various buildings can be seen completely leveled. Iran’s Tansim news agency also said that Hassan Nasrallah was alive and that none of the Lebanese group’s senior leaders were killed in the Israeli raids.

The IDF operation, which led to a series of huge attacks not seen in Lebanon since 2006 and aimed at killing Nasrallah, was dubbed “New Order.”
