Trump: “There Will Be No Rematch”

The tycoon ruled out a new direct stand-off with Kamala Harris: “I've already won the first one”

Donald Trump has definitively ruled out a new televised clash with candidate Kamala Harris. The US presidential election, which will take place on November 5, is less than a month away. “It is very late in the process, voting has already begun – there will be no rematch! Besides, Kamala stated clearly, yesterday, that she would not do anything different than Joe Biden, so there is nothing to debate,” Trump explained on his Truth social media account, followed by a suggestion from Fox News of a new debate in which his rival Harris has reportedly said she wants to participate.

“JD Vance easily won his debate with Tampon Tim Walz! I am also leading in the polls in all swing states. The first thing a prizefighter does when he loses a fight is say that he ‘demands a rematch.’” Trump explained, and then called Kamala “a liar.” In reality, analysts say it will be a fight to the last vote, and Politico reports that the refusal to debate even on a “friendly” TV station like Fox has demonstrated a desire not to get exposed to unpredictable risks associated with direct stand-off.

On the other hand, the former president took a similar stance immediately after the September 10 debate hosted by ABC television. He claimed he won the duel and did not allow a rematch. Instead, most analysts supported the opposite thesis, namely that Harris came out better from the face-to-face matchup.
