USA: Trump’s “New Golden Age and End to Wars”

Donald Trump will become the 47th President of the United States of America. In fact, there is still no official status, but the outcome is now a foregone conclusion, with Fox News becoming the first media outlet to announce the victory of the 78-year-old former president, who will return to lead the country after Joe Biden’s four-year presidency. The mogul’s first words come from Palm Beach, Florida. With him is his wife Melania and children Barron, Don Jr,, Eric, Ivanka, and Tiffany.

“Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason. And that reason was to save our country and to restore America to greatness. And now we are going to fulfil that mission together,” Trump explained, praising the man who was the number one supporter in the final months of the campaign, Elon Musk. “A star is born: Elon. He spent two weeks campaigning. He sent the rocket up two weeks ago and I saw that rocket, I saw it coming down. Musk is one of the most influential people in the country. No one else had an internet connection during the hurricane, he had it restored in no time with Starlink. We have to protect our geniuses.” And praise also goes to his deputy, J.D. Vance: “A remarkable man with a remarkable woman. A charming guy who ran a great campaign.”

Many expect the new president to turn the tide on conflicts in Europe and the Middle East, and Trump immediately mentioned the theme: “I’m not going to start a war, I’m going to stop wars,” and, again, at the end of his speech: “We are the party of common sense, we don’t want wars, for years we had no wars. This is a massive victory for democracy.”

And on the home front: “We have to put our country first for at least a period of time, we are to fix it. Because together we can truly Make America great again for all Americans,” and regarding one of the strong subjects of the campaign, namely immigration: “We’re going to turn our country around and make it something very special.  We are the greatest country in the world. We will have to close the borders, the migrants have to come back, yes, but legally.”
We will have to seal up those borders and let people come into our country, but come in legally.”
